Birthdays come and birthdays go. Most years they pass, to considerable relief, painlessly. This year, though, is different. I am now entering my 39th year and it’s just 362 days until I’m 40.

Eeek.

It seems SUCH a big number now and, like rain in Wimbledon fortnight, it’s unavoidable.

So as I approach the entry point to middle age, I wanted to capture my final year of being the right side of old.
